We’re always happy to talk shop with our customers when they visit the store, but in the meantime, here are our replies to some of the more commonly asked questions we hear.
What brands do you carry?
We pride ourselves on partnering with the best name brands going, some of which include: Echo, Toro, Briggs & Stratton, Honda and Kawasaki. If there’s a particular brand you’re interested in, either call us or swing by the store.
Do you assist customers with equipment setup?
Yes, we provide this service free of charge because we value our customers and want them to get the maximum benefit from their equipment. Everything we sell is already out of the box and ready to go, with no assembly required. We’ll even demonstrate how it works and go over maintenance tips.
Do you stock parts for the products you sell?
When we bring in new product, we back it up with a parts order. And not only do we stock parts for the stuff we sell, we carry parts for other competing brands (such as Craftsman and Husqvarna). We strive for quick turnarounds in our service department, and having readily available parts helps avoid lengthy shipping delays.
Do you sell used outdoor power equipment?
We’ll occasionally buy or trade in used equipment, and then give it a thorough inspection to ensure it meets our standards before displaying it in the showroom. The result is a reliable piece of equipment at a more affordable price point.
How can I help find the right part for my equipment?
To help us find the right part for your particular piece of equipment, we’ll need its make, model and serial number. With that information, we can look up the corresponding part, whether it’s a set of lawn mower blades or small engine parts for a generator.
It’s worth noting that in some cases there are separate serial numbers for the engine and the equipment. The type of parts you require will determine which serial number you need.
Do you use trained technicians?
Our service department is led by storeowner Niels Kitt, a licensed automotive mechanic by trade with more than 25 years in the industry. He and his staff boast more than 45 years of combined experience working on equipment of all sizes and shapes.
How does the service process work?
We operate on a first come, first served basis. In other words, there’s no need to make an appointment. Just bring it in and we will assign you a work order number. If you prefer, you can call in ahead of time to see how busy we are and decide a time that works for your schedule.
Do you do warranty work?
Absolutely. In fact, we’re the only outdoor power equipment store in the city that provides in-house warranty work. We service everything we sell and we guarantee our work.
What do I need to make a warranty claim?
Due to the wide variety of equipment and parts, you will need the model and serial number of your machine, plus proof of purchase. The latter will confirm your eligibility for warranty status.
Do you give estimates for repair and maintenance?
Yes. When you bring your yard equipment in, we’ll give it a quick visual inspection and, combined with the information you provide, we’ll try to diagnose the problem and give you a rough estimate. Whether you need snowblower repair or a tune-up for your hedge trimmer, we’re always upfront about service costs. Parts for outdoor power equipment can be quite expensive, and in some cases it might not be worth repairing.
Do you service air cooled engines and equipment?
Yes, we service air cooled engines in our fully equipped shop. We have the skill, tools and experience to handle anything from a simple oil change to warranty work, to technical repairs. Our goal is to keep you and your power equipment going strong.
